A window is an opening in a wall, roof or vehicle that allows the passage of light, and if not closed air and sound. In the market there are several, different types of windows and they can be categorized into different ways. Hinged Windows
- Casement windows have one or two hinged sashes that swings in or out like a door. A casement window may be left-handed, right-handed or double. They open and close easily with a turn of a crank handle. The main advantage of casement windows is that they can be fully opened, offering excellent ventilation. Moreover, they are tightly sealed for energy efficiency and when shut offer low air-leakage rate and noise reduction. The main disadvantage is that they open either outward or inward, so the area in front of the window should be free of any furniture and obstacles.
