Open House Thessaloniki 2014: tours focused on architecture and decoration (part I)

INTERIOR DESIGN & ARCHITECTURE

Last weekend on the15th/16th November we had the opportunity to enjoy architecture tours of monuments and public and private spaces by volunteer architecture students and architects.

It was an incredible experience to visit monuments that while working full-time, we usually postpone our visit, and also in public places that their architectural wealth is unknown to the public.

The Open House event also enables touring in private spaces of great architectural interest, either they are impressive both residential and commercial spaces of inspired design, newly built or renovated.

The entire city is transformed into a vast museum of architecture and guests are invited to follow architectural paths and to exchange views and ideas, and they are given the opportunity to learn not only about the architectural heritage of the city, but also new trends in architecture and design. In some cases the architects of the buildings themselves were present analyzing their work.
