Usually, two children or guests have to share the same room and co-exist. In these situations, the main dilemma is always the bed placement. However, there is more than one way to organize a multi-person bedroom. Below, we have illustrated almost all possible solutions and combinations. However, all solutions are not suitable for every space. Each room has its own restrictions, regarding dimensions and proportions, the location of the entry door, the windows, the closet, etc.
How to arrange twin beds in a room
- Create an L-shaped arrangement by placing the two beds in a corner of the room. It is preferable to keep an empty space between the beds, and place in the corner or in-between a piece of furniture, such as a wardrobe, a desk, a table or a nightstand. You can place the beds, footboard-to-footboard, headboard-to-headboard or headboard-to-footboard.

Headborad-to-foorboard with a dresser in-bewteen. The dresser also serves as a nightstand.
Twin beds adjacent to each other. Be sure that the bed design allows this arrangement.

- Both beds with their long sides against the wall. You can place the beds either adjacent to each other or leaving free space between them. Of course the wall should be long enough to accommodate both beds.

- With the headboards on the same wall (parallel placement). Both beds are placed perpendicular to the longest wall with the headboards facing the room’s interior. Usually a nightstand or two nightstands are placed in-between. Alternatively, you can place a wardrobe or a dresser in-between. Placing the beds next to each other to make a large bed is an option suitable only for small kids, since as a child grows up needs more personal space. Beds placement, next to each other
- With headboards along opposite walls and in opposite corners. To maximize personal space you can place the beds along opposite walls and in opposite corners. You can place a nightstand next to the bed. This arrangement creates two distinct zones for each occupant while allows enough free space in the centre of the room.
