The Redesign Adapts Iconic American Fashion Elements to Create a Contemporary “New American Original”
Reader's question:
"In two months our second child arrives, a boy. The first child is a boy, 2,5 years old. The decoration of the room is inspired by Winnie and the walls are painted purple. Furniture and the wardrobe are painted in the tones of vanilla. Several elements (curtains, quilt, rug) have different colors like lime and blue. Next week we are planning to paint the room and we are thinking about the new colors. Colors that we like, are the purple, the lime, the light blue and the white. We want something happy, vivid and original."
Reader’s question
"In my living room I have a sofa in medium gray color, and the wall behind is dark mushroom color, I would say. I have wood floor with white furniture.
My questions
1. What can I hang on the wall behind my couch?
2. Is lime green shade the right choice for the drapes?
Thank you in advance."
Reader’s question
“I have a small open plan kitchen living room 4.50m x 6.50m. In one corner there is a staircase to the upper floor and opposite an L-shaped kitchen is settled. I want to place a corner sofa 2.50 m long, an electric fireplace, a library and a dining set.
I would like your help to arrange the furniture, and to choose paint colors for the kitchen cabinets and the walls. I have beige tile floor and the sofa has gray-brown color."
A distinctive morphological and functional element of the space, the stair is decisively involved in the organization of space functionally and aesthetically. Latest design trends require inspiration, high quality and advanced manufacturing techniques for this important component of the area.
Reader's question:
"My child is 4 years old and hyperactive. I need advice on what color to choose for the bedroom walls?"
Our advice:
The colors should be bright, harmonious, and joyful. Avoid dark and depressing tones. Suitable colors are pastel colors like the light blue, calm green (green is considered to enhance learning ability), lilac and generally bright and relaxing tones associated with tranquility and optimism.
Apart from dark, depressing tones you should also avoid powerful and vigorous colors like the red (increases blood pressure), yellow and lime. However those hues can be used to add color accents to the bedroom.
Therefore beneficial colors for the kid's bedroom are the light blue and the pale green.
