Reader’s question

"My house is 56 square meters, and 4 people live in it. There's a hallway is about 10 sq m with no windows and I would like to use it as a living/dining area. What furniture and paint colors to choose?"

Our recommendation

We have created a 3d model of the hallway according to your description. We have assumed that there are three doors, one is the entrance of the house and the other two are interior doors leading to the rest of the house.

We suggest a corner seating area and a small dining area in the opposite free corner. Opposite the living area we place a wall mounted TV.

Colour selection

We recommend for the walls a soft lilac, which opens up the space and makes it look larger.

You can create a sense of height by painting the ceiling a shade or two lighter than the wall color.

Furniture

Select small-scale furniture in light gray upholstery, in order not to look bulky. Select acrylic coffee table.

You can also choose transparent dining table and small chairs upholstered in a lilac shade.
