"I want to paint my house but I don’t know which color is best for each room.
The kids’ bedroom furniture is in natural beech with navy blue curtains. Two boys and a girl 7-5-1 year old share the room. What color and what wall-style would you suggest?
The bedroom closets are gray, the furniture in cherry wood and the curtains are white with pale blue and pink flowers. In the open living room kitchen the dominant colors are blue, gray and wenge. However I would like to add one more color. What color purple excluded do you advice? Many thanks”
Our recommendations
Children room
We propose a two colors combination for the nursery, as it is used by boys and girl. The first color without being girly is off-white with a subtle yellow for suspicion space. The second color - sweet pale blue with accents of pale gray brightens the nursery.
You can alternate the two colors on the three walls and on the fourth you can make medium size stripes with these two colors.
Bedroom
We are not aware of the room size, so we recommend a combination of a light and a dark color for the wall behind the bed and the ceiling. The bright color can be off-white light pink, to add calm to the space. The dark color is a gray-chocolate shade for the necessary warmth.
Living room and kitchen
Our proposal includes an all-time classic neutral color that highlights the elements of the room and gives elegance. We do not know the room size, or the particular color of each element. We propose two alternative colors, in case you would like to add one more color. One is a yellow green tint which adds a touch of freshness and the second alternative is a rich, deep shade of brick red that draws the attention.
