Kids’ bedrooms are multifunctional spaces where they can sleep, study, play, daydream, and spend time with friends. Whether it is a girls’ or boys’ room decorating, the rooms’ design ideas should be adaptable to the kids’ needs and interests which change as they are growing up.

A kid’s room should be spacious, attractive and well organized providing ample storage in order to avoid a clutter desk and floor. Consequently, the interior design should maximize space in a kid’s bedroom and combined with a selection of space saving bedroom furniture should create a comfortable and functional bedroom.

The bed should not overwhelm the space. A bed providing space underneath for a desk or for playing is a good selection. Alternatively a platform bed with drawers underneath is suitable for kids who don’t like climbing up to the bed.

Regarding the rest pieces of furniture in a kid’s bedroom they should be minimal to leave free space. Storage should be found in all possible places in a kid’s bedroom. For example, an ottoman can provide both seating and storage underneath. A bookcase can also provide space for books, puzzles and storage cubes that fit on shelves and are suitable for toys or small items. Toys should be placed in toys storage, such as a game closet or toy boxes when not in use.
