Two new brand textile projects are part of the 2015 Nodus rugs collection which will be on show next April at the Fuori Salone in Milan. The visual poems by Raymundo Sesma for NODUS, a collection of five rugs, named UNIDAD TRANSVERSAL are hand‐knotted in Nepal. They have a knot density of 100 knots per square inch and are made of 100% wool. Their size is 170x240 cm and their production time was 3 months.
Ruban, a rug that looks like a ribbon (“ruban” in French) is designed by Sam Baron for NODUS is also hand‐knotted in Nepal, it counts100 knots per square inch. It comes in two pile heights from 4 and 6 mm. It is made of wool and bamboo silk. Its size is 120 x 700 cm and it is completed in 3 months time.
“This carpet is a mix between a ribbon that unfolds on the ground (in a corridor, for example) and the traditional red carpet which gives it a chic/cinema side! We managed to obtain a volume effect thanks to the use of various red tones. It is very graphic, designed and contemporary and at the same time it appeals to the collective memory of the palace stairs.”, Sam Baron explains.
