“I'm considering changing my bedroom's colour and I need your help. I am 16 years old and my bedroom has brown furniture and an irrelevant black TV unit that my parents won't let me throw away. Patio doors take up one wall almost completely and opposite that wall is the TV unit and a chest of drawers, so that leaves very little surface of wall uncovered. My bed and my desk take up the two remaining walls. Regarding the colours, I would like to have a two toned concept and this is where you come, because I need advice on some colour combinations. Thanks in advance”

A teen girl's bedroom is an essential part of their lives and it should reflect their personal style. It's the room where they spend the majority of their time, studying, relaxing and having fun.
Even though we have no information regarding the materials and colours of the floor and the fabrics, we came up with two colour schemes, where one colour is bright and the other is toned down to balance the first colour's brightness. These colours go really well with the brown and black furniture in the room.
1. Bright pink and light camel in a number of combinations, for example painting the bed's wall pink and the rest of them camel. Alternatively you could paint stripes of pink and camel on the wall where the desk lies, have pink on the bed's wall and camel on the two remaining walls.
2. Coral and the colour of sand, where the wall on the side of the bed and the desk are painted two toned, i.e. the colour of sand on the bottom up to 1 meter and coral on the top. The rest of the walls are painted in the colour of sand to tone down the bright coral. Alternatively, the walls where the bed and the chest of drawers lie are panted with horizontal stripes of coral and the colour of sand respectively, the wall behind the desk is painted coral and the patio doors' wall is painted in the colour of sand.
