"I am remodeling my open concept kitchen living room with ochre walls, white ceiling and white floor tiles. I keep my existing kitchen cabinets, the sideboard and the dining set which are in a sweet brown color. I am wondering what color to pick for the curtains, the living room set and the coffee table. Moreover I have two large paintings in bright colors on the walls. The house has nice high ceilings and I will need new light fixtures. I would like some chrome details in the space including curtain poles and borders on the sideboard. Thank you in advance."

Our recommendation

You should create a harmonious color palette with new and existing colors to flow through your home. You could select a deep blue or green olive sofa set, depending on your color preferences.

The coffee table could be in either wenge or ebony wood finishes.

Curtains in beige or better yet gold shades would be a perfect selection.

We suggest two different color schemes:

Deep blue sofa set/wenge wood coffee table/beige curtains

Olive green sofa set/ebony wood coffee table/gold curtains

Regarding the light fixtures, since the home has high ceilings, we recommend a chandelier with chrome frame, or a large pendant lamp to accentuate the area.

You should consider that the furniture you will use will match to your design.
