Reader's question:
"In my bedroom both the flooring and furniture are wooden. The doors of the wardrobe are warm orange. What color should I use for the walls of the room. I want to avoid ordinary tones like dark brown and yellow"
Our suggestions:
At first, we believe that you should draw attention to only one of the walls by painting it with a dominant color. Usually this wall, is the one behind the double-bed. The other walls will function as a background and they can be painted with a less intensive color.
Take a look at the following color schemes:
- Keep the warmness in space, without making your bedroom boring by using the following colors:
Dominant color: A green/grey tone found in olive leaves (the color is between warm and cold tones).
Background color: A natural tone found in cardboards.

- Balance the warm tones of the room by adding a cold color. Follow the scheme:
Dominant color: A blue tone found in gloomy sky.
Background color: A natural tone found in cardboards.

- Give freshness to the room by selecting a playfull color.
Dominant color: Light purple found in grapes (pastel color).
Background color: A natural tone found in cardboards.
