"I find my living room classic and boring. The sofas are dark blue fustian; the walls are beige and the curtain beige. I want to refresh the style of the living room without spending much money, by adding a few decorative items. There is also a piano and I feel like decorating it too. Finally, I have plenty of family photos that I would like to place them somewhere, but I can’t imagine how"

Our recommendations: 

The color and the fabric of the sofa (blue fustian) are indeed boring. To make the sofa more eye-catching, it is not enough to drop some pillows. You should seek for those pillows that have warm and intense colors. Orange for example, makes the highest contrast in front of a blue background. So, purchase orange cushions or white cushions with orange details.

Place a floor lamp. The light will be soft and will create a unique atmosphere. Floor lamps highlight a specific area, promote relaxation, concentration and may encourage a friendly chat.

Hang on the wall bizarre items like odd clocks and unusual mirrors.

The piano:

A piano apart from a musical instrument it is a unique item that adds elegance in a space . So, it is not necessary to add more decorative items above the piano. However, if you want to add decorative items, choose objects that are not heavy and will not harm or scratch the surface. Some options are the flowers (fresh or dried), the music sheets, the candles, etc. Be careful with the fresh flowers, since the moisture and the water might harm the wood of the piano.  

The family photos:

Organize family and memory photos in an artistic and unusual way. Hang them, for example from ropes or place them together in a big frame.
