Reader’s question:
"In the living room there is an empty area (behind the sofas). I was thinking to place there the dining table, but then I though that I already have a large dining table in the kitchen. So, what would you suggest to do in this area? To extend the living room by rearranging the sofas or to do something different?
Our recommendations:
We believe that your decision, not to create a dining zone in the living room is right, since you already have a large dining table in the kitchen.
On the other hand you could create something completely different, both functional and eye-catching.
For example, you could create a small library or in other words a zone for reading, working, relaxing, etc. You can place, a high bookcase and a narrow table, or a bookcase with two conformable armchairs and a round table.
Bookcase that covers the entire wall and creates corner. In front, place a narrow table for reading and wokring.
