Reader‘s question

"I ’m sending you the plan of my bathroom. I would like a long bathtub, a built-in WC and built countertop basin. Could you give me some ideas on the arrangement of sanitaryware in the bathroom?"

 Our recommendations

You have not marked the existing drain location on the plan you have sent us. Consequently we have to consider three different drain positions and to suggest 3 different bathroom layouts.

Bathroom layout no 1

We install the built-in WC next to the door.
The bathtub is placed on the wall opposite the door and the built countertop basin occupies the wall on the left of the bathroom.
The solution leaves generous free space in front of the fixtures.

Bathroom layout no2

The basin and the bathtub are placed along the wall with the window and a tailor made countertop basin is mounted on the wall on the left.
On the wall opposite the door we suggest a new wall with openings which integrates the built-in WC.
The countertop basin is constructed with metal frame covered with cement panels, tiled at your choice.
There is sufficient space available in front of the toilet, and spaciousness in the rest of the bathroom.

Bathroom layout no3

This layout is suggested due to the drain location and the position of the countertop basin opposite the door is not appropriate.

The bathtub is placed along the wall on the left. A low wall is constructed along the bathroom wall to integrate the built-in WC. The layout allows free space in front of the fixtures.
