Reader's question:
"In the living room there is an operable window that connects the living room with one of our bedrooms. The window opens to the bedroom. How can I camouflage the window in the living room?
Our answer:
In interior architecture every problem can act as a challenge to create something unique. In your case, the window could be camouflaged and at the same time remain operable allowing the natural ventilation of the bedroom. We propose you the following solutions:
A: Design a unique piece of furniture that will incorporate and hide the window
In front of the window you can place a piece of furniture with sliding doors to allow the natural ventilation of the bedroom, like for example a bookcase or a bar countertop.
B: Place a panel for artwork or for the TV
In front of the window you can place a wooden panel. The panel should have some distance from the wall (about 10-15 cm) to allow natural ventilation of the bedroom. Over the panel you can hang artwork or the TV.
