"How can I decorate a hallway, 4 meters length by 0.95 meters so that it doesn’t look like a long, narrow tunnel?" 

Our recommendations:

A long corridor, despite the obvious disadvantages also has it’s benefits. The most important is probably the long walls. Hence, you can take advantage of this feature and exhibit (in one or both walls) paintings, or even better, pictures. Besides, we all have travel photos, old family pictures and portraits forgotten in albums. 

Moreover, you can renew the photo exhibition as often as you like.

If you are ready to undertake a more expensive makeover of the space, then you might consider a plasterboard, suspended ceiling with recessed spotlights. The suspended ceiling will improve the proportions of space by lowering the height of the hallway. Besides, in narrow spaces, generous light is necessary and will make space appear larger. In relation to wall colors, opt for bright colors.
