Carlo Dal Bianco reimagined a table conceived in 1968 by designers Arne Jacobsen, Bruno Mathsonn and mathematicial Piet Hein. The latter created a new shape for this piece, somewhere between an ellipse and a rectangle, and called it a superellipse. The work of the architect and designer Carlo Dal Bianco seeks to integrate mosaic within this design icon without altering its form or its section. He therefore thought of inserting within the table surface a design that did not imitate its geometry and by using the logo of the studio he added, within a hint of ambition, his signature as the fourth designer.
He also reinterpreted the pier de poule and created a tailor made dress in white gold and black mosaic, trimmed by passmanterie. The chair, an icon of Scandinavian design, like a modern diva, pays homage to the elegant dresses of Coco Chanel.
